Bring on the labor pains
Yes, I know that Labor Day was first observed in 1882 to celebrate a working man’s holiday. My family has always been a little different though. We always joked that Labor Day was to celebrate pregnant women going through labor. We are coming upon a very important time in history. What changes do you want to see in your world? Your country? Your city? Your life? It doesn’t matter if you are the President of a nation or a soccer mom with 2.5 kids; change will not come without some kind of action. Think about those changes that you want to see. You’ll have to take some kind of action. It doesn’t’ matter if it is a small change or a big change, you will be uncomfortable or even downright miserable at first. You have to be determined. You have to make up your mind that the end result will be worth your discomfort. With our first two children I had an epidural during labor. With our third child I wasn’t as lucky. I felt every contraction and every pain. I can’t even begin to explain the pain but I can tell you that as soon as I saw him all the pain started melting away. When he gives me a hug or kiss I don’t even think about the pain I endured, I only think about the love and joy that he brings. I’ve been hearing about change over and over from the Democrats. I agree that we do need some changes. I think we probably all need to make some changes on a personal as well as a national level. The question is, are you ready to give birth to change? Are you ready for the labor pains? I just hope this birth doesn't leave any stretch marks.
